Heddatron follows the Ibsen family in 1890 Norway and the Gordon family in 2006 rural Michigan as Jane Gordon is kidnapped by robots and forced to play Hedda in the Robots’ production of Hedda Gabler. This show involves Jane’s 6th grade child’s book report about Hedda Gabler and Ibsen, a film student’s documentary about the kidnapping, and a musical performance of Total Eclipse of the Heart by robots as Michigan transforms into the Robot Forest.
In late May 2020, right after final designs were presented, this production was cancelled due to COVID 19.
